Layla, a newlywed Palestinian schoolteacher, is falsely arrested and jailed in an Israeli prison where she gives birth to her son. Inspired by a true story, the film traces a young mother’s struggle to raise her child behind bars, and her journey of hope, resilience and survival against all odds.
